Recycling remains a trump card in glass processing. There are around 250,000 glass containers in Germany, and up to 85% of new bottles are produced from recycled material. SPANGLER Automation has automated a system for particularly "motley" collections.
Colour is becoming manageable
Systematic recycling is one human generation old, and its technical development is nowhere near the final stage. What was recently not considered as recyclable is suddenly a prized commodity.
The separation of the glass particles is a process with multiple stages. The working processes of the treatment plant range from vibrating screens over classifiers to magnetic filters and dust removal by air pressure. SPANGLER Automation has automated the complete conveyor technology. To avoid product bottlenecks, the processes move and stop in the opposite direction to the transport.
Melting down saves energy
The entire system configuration is displayed over several control panels so that important operating parameters can also be locally modified at any time. With our automation technology, the proportion of recycled glass in the production process can be further increased – in the spirit of energy efficiency, since recycled glass melts at much lower temperatures than that which is newly produced.
