<p>Three robot cells deburr motor parts with a water pressure of up to 600 bar, as much as 500 motor parts per day. They are cleaned off residues from the mechanical processing with various cleaning agents as well as preserved at the same time. Afterwards, the treated parts are returned to manufacturing or transported to an interim storage.</p>
<p>A special challenge was the variety and complexity of the plant processes which had to be considered when programming the control unit. Furthermore, due to the specification sheets of the car manufacturer, detailed requirements for control technology and programming had to be taken into account.</p>

<p>In order to guarantee ideal test results we have installed two power supply units in the test cabinets, each with 15 kW electrical power. They not only serve as power source, but they can also simulate current collectors and for this they are designed in a bidirectional way.</p>
<p>To cool both supply units with a total performance of 30 kW, ventilation slots were planned at various places and supported in advance by calculations of the electrical power dissipation with a 3D model.</p>
<p>These two power supply units take over the complete control and connect the system to the SCADA system of the customer, which controls the whole testing station and changes settings.</p>

<p>The production line consists of eight individual machines. The central switch and control system controls processes such as resining and milling over different interfaces. A PC system with an integrated control system continually adapts the speed of the individual manufacturing processes to the other machines so that the quality remains constant, even during time-critical operations such as gluing. The system can be operated directly on the machine via several control points.</p>
<p>For high-tech plants documentation is more than a basic need. At all important points process data is collected, stored and subsequently evaluated. The complete production process can thereby be completely traced without effort – also retrospectively – which represents an important aspect of quality assurance.</p>
