Töging, July 3, 2026 – SPANGLER Automation celebrated its 45th anniversary with a large family day for employees, their families, former managing directors, and retired colleagues. Around 260 guests, including more than 50 children, attended the event. The celebration was not only an opportunity to look back on a successful company history, but above all to celebrate what has defined SPANGLER for 45 years: team spirit and a strong sense of community.
Forty-five years ago, Franz Spangler founded the company, laying the foundation for what is now SPANGLER Automation. Following his sudden passing in 2003, his wife and her brother continued to lead the family business with great dedication. Today, the company employs around 160 people and is recognized as an innovative provider of automation technology. With tailor-made solutions for a wide range of industries, SPANGLER stands for technical expertise, sustainable growth, and a strong corporate culture.
Families – An Important Part of the Company’s Success
“45 years of SPANGLER means 45 years of ideas, commitment, technological innovation, and above all, the people who have shaped our company and continue to do so today,” the management said in its welcome address. The family day also served as a heartfelt thank-you to all employees and their families, whose support has made a significant contribution to the company’s success.
A Behind-the-Scenes Look
Many family members took the opportunity to visit the workplaces of their loved ones and gain a behind-the-scenes insight during guided company tours. Children were able to experience where their parents work, while former colleagues enjoyed reconnecting and sharing memories of their time at SPANGLER.
Team Spirit Beyond the Workplace
With company tours, a children’s entertainment program, football darts, a photo booth, coffee and cake, and a shared evening buffet, the event offered many opportunities for conversations and personal encounters. Once again, the event highlighted what has distinguished SPANGLER for the past 45 years: strong team spirit, trust, and a culture of mutual appreciation.
A Heartfelt Thank You
With this family day marking its 45th anniversary, SPANGLER expressed its sincere gratitude to all employees for their commitment, trust, and loyalty.
The company also extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. Special appreciation goes to SV Töging for providing the sports facilities, the Töging Cultural Association for supporting the beverage service, St. Bartholomäus Kindergarten for organizing the wonderful children’s activities, Tratner Butchery, all supporting partners, and the entire organizing team.
The anniversary impressively demonstrated what has sustained SPANGLER for the past 45 years—and what will continue to define the company in the future: reliability, a strong sense of community, and deep roots in the region.

The management team and former senior management addressed the guests with personal remarks, reflecting on the company’s development and the significance of the anniversary celebration.
The anniversary cake added a special touch to the celebration. The younger guests were not forgotten either: football darts, a craft and face-painting station, and glitter tattoos provided plenty of fun and entertainment.
